From February 6 to 8, the Catalunya Convention Bureau (CCB) participated in the Associations Days Europe workshop in Padua (Italy), a key event in the international meetings and conferences tourism sector. This event provided a valuable opportunity for Catalonia to establish strategic connections with 43 European associations and PCOs (Professional Congress Organizers), with the goal of promoting the region as a destination for international congresses.

During these three days of intense work, the CCB shared its offerings and resources to position Catalonia as a preferred location for hosting congresses and associative events. Initiatives like this are essential to strengthening Catalonia’s presence in the European meetings tourism market, one of the fastest-growing sectors within the tourism industry.

Also participating in Associations Days were five members of the CCB: UAB Campus, Grup RIC, Tembo Barcelona, ME by Melia and Palau de Congressos de Catalunya (Torre Melina Gran Meliá), who had the opportunity to connect with other professionals in the sector and explore new business opportunities.

Associations Days is the key event for the European associative and congress market, bringing together institutional delegates from associations, congress organizing societies, promotion agencies, as well as representatives of destinations, venues, and specialized service providers in the sector. The CCB continues to invest in internationalization and building strong relationships with key players in the industry.
