The Pirineus Programme organised by the Catalan Tourist Board highlights the diversity to be found in the Catalan Pyrenees, the mountain range that lies in the north of the country.
The attractions in this natural region vary from active and mountain tourism activities (GR long distance paths, visits to natural parks…) to Pyrenean cultural and gastronomic heritage, not forgetting a full range of accommodation services and facilities to match the requirements of all visitors.
The Pirineus Programme is supported by a cooperation agreement established by the Catalan Tourist Board, the Catalan Government’s Ministry of Territory and Sustainability, Barcelona Tourist Board, and the tourist boards of Lleida Provincial Council, Costa Brava Girona, Barcelona Provincial Council and the Conselh Generau d’Aran.
Through the programme, the CTB promotes actions to market the brand internationally by organising the annual Pirineus workshop. This meeting brings together dozens of tourism companies in the Pyrenees to sell their products to international tour operators and agencies interested in including this destination in their catalogues. The CTB also partners other promotional activities, such as fam trips and press trips.
